Terms of Use
1. These terms
These terms apply to the Points Map iPhone app and the website pointsmap.app (the “service”). By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. The service
Points Map provides general information to help you understand rewards programs and plan travel. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law.
3. Not advice
Content is general information only. It is not financial, credit, tax or travel advice and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You should consider your own circumstances, read the provider’s terms and any target market determination before applying for a financial product.
4. Third-party information
The service uses information from third parties, including airlines, banks and offer providers. We give no warranty that it is accurate, available, current or complete. Points values, prices, taxes, offers and availability are estimates or snapshots that change without notice. You are responsible for confirming details directly with the provider before booking, transferring points or applying, and for complying with the provider’s terms, including loyalty program terms.
5. Offers
We may receive a commission or other benefit from some offers. This does not change the points or terms shown by the provider.
6. Independence
Points Map is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Qantas or any other airline, bank or provider. Third-party names and trade marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for them.
7. Features and subscriptions
Some features, including the number or frequency of searches, may be limited on the free version and may change. Paid plans are subject to fair-use limits. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. The price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase applies. Apple’s terms govern billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds; manage your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
8. Acceptable use
You must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service, circumvent its limits or security, or misuse or disrupt it. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. The service and its content belong to us or our licensors.
9. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify us against loss, damage and claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, remedy or consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law.
11. Limitation of liability
Subject to section 10, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or lost points, offers or opportunities arising from your use of the service or reliance on it. Where a consumer guarantee applies and liability can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupplying it.
12. Changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the service or any feature at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept them. The effective date above shows the current version.
13. Governing law and severability
These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts. If any provision is unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remains in effect.
